All conferences require approval from your Managing Director prior to booking in order to qualify for our conference benefits. If you do not have an MD, you need to get approval from your manager.

We pay 50% of all expenses to attend job-related conferences. If you’re speaking at or involved in the organization of the conference, we’ll pay 100% of the expenses to attend.

Attending a conference is working time, not paid time off, and does not reduce your vacation time.

In addition, in order to qualify for this benefit, the event must

  • Have a Code of Conduct or Anti-harassment Policy and a plan to enforce it.
  • Feature a speaker line-up that represents our entire community, especially Black women, nonbinary, and indigenous speakers.

If you find an event that does not meet these criteria, reach out to the event organizers to encourage them to make a change so that our benefit can apply to the event.

If you believe there may be another compelling reason for the company to pay 100% of expenses, speak with your Team’s MD.
